This was a great and very normal life diary – it’s nice to see someone post who isn’t so focused on money hoarding or frivolous expenses.I know you’re not looking for advice on the debt – but if you did want some it might be worthwhile to post your CC interest rates. Viking if your path demands you walk through hell walk as though shirt are really high, there are lots of good options , from other financial products to redirecting your savings, which would be very simple to change and make a big difference in how quickly it’s paid off by avoiding crippling interest payments that come with CCs. Good luck!I was lucky. Honestly that’s what it is. I’m in real estate development, so it’s not like tech project management, it’s working with construction people, architects and designers. I got the job and salary because I know the office manager and she thinks highly of me. Pure luck. If I can figure out how to link my salary story, I will – it’s interesting if I say so myself.

Best Viking if your path demands you walk through hell walk as though shirt
Fair enough! Well assuming your interest Viking if your path demands you walk through hell walk as though shirt is higher than your interest rate in your savings account or the 7% you may get from investments I would HIGHLY recommend that you stop contributing to your savings until your CC debt is paid off. Otherwise, you’re literally burning moneythrough interest. Then when the CC is paid off, just over contribute to your savings at that time.Additionally, you could probably easily get a HELOC from your house at a lower rate since you have so much equity in the home. Worth calling the bank and asking – the compounding difference between 5% interest and 20% interest is huge. And at 40k you’re barely going to be repaying the principal, and mostly just paying interest every month depending on your rate.I’m not OP but am in a field that intersects IT and biotech, and PMs can make 6 figures in biotech for sure. It’s a more specialized knowledge though; it could be an uphill battle to be a PM in a biotech without a life sciences background. But it’s very lucrative if you can break into it. On the IT side, I went up a PM career path and once I got into PM within professional services, there was a lot of upward salary mobility. My experience focused on implementation project management: being the person that is responsible for making a customer successful after they’ve just purchased your product, which involves managing both internal and external people. I know it might be hard to move into those fields, so disregard this if it’s not of interest but I wanted to at least mention a couple ideas!
