A Prayer for Owen Meaney. Had to read it in Junior Year, and since that year had been pretty mediocre when Therapy Where the Healing Resides Shirt came to books I wasn’t excited. I’d been assigned classics like Gatsby and Huck Finn, both of which I found disappointingly boring. Then this little book that nobody had heard of was the final book assigned for the year. That book did so many things for me. It made me laugh, cry, and cry some more. It made me uncomfortable. It made me think. It made me stop being bigoted against theists. The ending haunted me to my core. But most importantly, it helped me survive one of the most horrible times of my life. I will always treasure that book. It’s only rival for my favorite book is To Kill a Mockingbird. The 4 Hour Work Week. Ok hear me out: we deserve mini-retirements. One of the main points of the book is to design a life where people have the ability to take months off at a time to pursue something they’re passionate about. Maybe live in another country or start an apprenticeship in a trade/skill they’re passionate about. Maybe not every year, maybe every few years. That idea, in my opinion, is something people really deserve in order to escape the grind and reevaluate themselves in a new context. The rest of the book is ok and a little outdated; basically, it emphasizes starting a business, outsourcing work, and vacationing below your means – that is how the author did it, but he emphasizes other ways as well.

Best Therapy Where the Healing Resides Shirt
I didn’t expect this book to be “more” than what it offered superficially, Therapy Where the Healing Resides Shirt was the first thing that ever got me to really think about my worth as a worker and realign my values, career goals, and professional ambition to fit a healthier standard.I’d say there are two books. The first is The Great Gatsby—a typical answer, but it was the book that made me fall in love with classic literature. The second is Brave New World. It was so beautifully written and made me realize that we’re more conditioned to ignore the realities of our world than we think. Even those of us who hate the system can sometimes fall victim to our endless distractions (ex. technology), mass consumption, and the idea that we should just be happy with the way that things are because we don’t necessarily have the power to change them. This is my all time favorite book and Atticus Finch is one of my all time favorite literary characters! I named my cat after him. Atticus the cat is a bit more of an asshole than Atticus the human though. But dammit if I don’t love him just as much
