I was extremely extremely shy and easily embarrassed by just about anything when I was a teenager/very young adult, I related so much to Fat Charlie in the book and as he loosened up, I made it my goal to be less stiff and worried about embarrassing myself and realized it’s okay to be goofy! The Road Less Traveled by M Scott Peck. Recommended to me by my therapist when I was going through a pretty rough time in my life. The first paragraph really stuck with me. It says“Life is difficult. This is a great truth, one of the greatest truths. It is a great truth because once we truly see this truth, we transcend it. Once we truly know that life is difficult—once we truly understand and accept Thats What I Do Im A Homosaurus I Hate People And I Know Things shirt then life is no longer difficult. Because once it is accepted, the fact that life is difficult no longer matters.”I can’t tell you how many times I’ve read that paragraph. It just puts me in a better placeThe Stand, by Stephen King. It gave me a strange sense of what the US was like, but hey I was like 12 at the time, I thought it was an epic tale, and I wanted to live in that world where I could do whatever the hell I wanted to. And now covid has made it popular again!
Best Thats What I Do Im A Homosaurus I Hate People And I Know Things shirt
The Gunslinger and the DT series as a whole. I had burnt out on reading because Thats What I Do Im A Homosaurus I Hate People And I Know Things shirt was doing a history degree and man I just didn’t have time to read for fun. After graduating I picked it up because I liked King and my dad had always talked about it. My gosh I was sucked in immediately like nothing I’d ever read before. My wife and I took turns reading that book to each other on our honeymoon almost 17 years ago. It was eye-opening and provided a way for us to communicate to each other how we each expressed love and what we each needed from the other in order to feel loved. I highly recommend the book to anyone. Know thyself.Really opened my mind to a world of literature I had no experience with. I’ve probably read a hundred or so books in the last ten Ish years (not a whole lot compared to other people I’m sure) and have even written one which is where my journey has taken me.
