I awake to the sun rising. H is awake too, but he wants to spoon a bit longer. As that boils, I crack some eggs and whisk them in the pot and place that over the campfire. Then I pull out the cast iron, drop half of the chopped potatoes into it and place that on the campfire. Then I place four pieces of bacon on the tray and place that on the ast corner of the campfire. The smoke follows me and so it is a challenge to continue whisk the eggs and make sure the rest of the food doesn’t burn. H ends up taking the eggs off too early.
