The most obvious contradiction exist loving rappers who are hypermasculine and trying to defend homosexuals/non-hypermasculine ideals in hip hop. I like gorillas and maybe like 3 people vintage shirt people fighting and saying you have no problem with either. Its the same with loving the hypermasculine womanizing shit but also saying you respect and love women. Truth is a certain image sells and thats why the contradiction has no chance of being resolved through dialogue and growth. But dont play both sides like theyre arent conflicting. There’s already a lot of homophobia in America and across all music genres, but the thing that makes rap even worse is because everyone tries to be “mob material”. Talking bout mob ties, using names that play off of old gangsters tropes like Capone, Scarface, etc.In the Sopranos, Junior was worried about people even finding out he ate pussy, because apparently to mobsters, eating a pussy is somehow gay (maybe because mobsters see it as subsmissive or weak to pleasure/be of service to a woman, idk)A lot of rappers nowadays embody that too, talking about not eating fish or stuff like that. If something as harmless as eating a girl out is seen as gay (from the mob/rappers perspective) then no wonder all these rappers are homophobic. Everybody tries to be about that life, the mob life. Everybody wants to be a Scarface or Vito Corleone, and as a result, prejudices like this are just added to the pre-existing pile.

Best I like gorillas and maybe like 3 people vintage shirt
This is just a part of the problem of patriarchal systems. We live in a world in I like gorillas and maybe like 3 people vintage shirt we have decided as a culture that masculine characteristics are more important than feminine ones. It also seems we have decided that masculinity doesn’t need to be balanced out by femininity. The outcome of this philosophy is most of society could care less about the starving and poor and fixate on the rich and powerful. It is the underlying cause of global warming because we would much rather pursue unlimited growth that benefits the few rather than producing what is actually needed and managing it for the whole populace.
