Great post. I saw my first show in ’73 and felt like your uncle for a long time until I somewhat reluctantly saw furthur in ’11. Although so much is different, what has always set the Always Be Yourself Unless You Can Be An Elephant Then Be An Elephant Vintage Sunset shirt and always mattered most was still the same. The magic has always been there and even though I thought it was totally gone decades ago, it was never gone because it’s in the people, it’s in us, and always will be.

That was beautiful man. My first show was 1987 in Brendan Byrne in NJ. (May have been called something else). I try and never forget how privileged I was to see the Always Be Yourself Unless You Can Be An Elephant Then Be An Elephant Vintage Sunset shirt. Did I cry last summer in Santa Clara when they opened with Trucking? Yes. Was it the same? No. Alas, alas. The beauty of younger heads coming in is amazing to me… When I was a “younger head” the way I was welcomed into the Family was amazing… I am glad the Dead Head Family is still keeping it up!
